My favorite part of the creative process is finding the shape to contain ideas.
I work with all kinds of artists — visual artists, musicians, dancers, other writers. I love the expansive dynamic ways their minds work.

However, after years of working with artists, I’ve learned that each artist’s creative process is distinct.​
Some visual artists think in shapes and colors, not words.

Some writers see moments first, before understanding how they connect.
​
Some artists turned to art precisely because they couldn’t express what they were feeling through language.​
We are not the same! Our minds are amazing, multi-faceted entities that are distinctly different.
It’s what makes our work so exciting and unique.

But sometimes the wildest creativity needs a little structure—and that’s where I come in. I get great pleasure and a real sense of accomplishment from understanding the essence of an idea, crafting the right the container for it, and organizing language to make that idea shine. I love bringing order to ideas, ensuring they are clear, concise and easy to understand.
